IPW Purpose

The Idaho Photographic Workshop is a non-profit organization of vocational and advocational artists whose medium is light. IPW began in 1985 as an offshoot of Kevin Fuller’s Community Education photography classes. In 1987, we incorporated as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with the following purpose:

“To cultivate an atmosphere for exchange, learning, and creative expansion in the area of photography, and to provide educational opportunities in photography and related fine art forms in the State of Idaho.”

Since that time, we have taught classes and sponsored workshops, held numerous juried and open shows throughout southwestern Idaho, and created and carried out the “Photographic Visions” Idaho Centennial project, which toured three states during the 1990-91 Idaho Centennial celebration. Founding members who are still active in the organization are Allan Ansell, John Lee, Carol Leonard, Linda McDougall, Peter Oberlindacher and Diane Ronayne.
