August’s IPW Program
Taking Stock: A Panel Discussion of the Business of Stock Photography
Last month, IPW members assisted the Society of American Travel Writers with a Photo Shootout. This month we get to see the shootout from a variety of angles. First, we’ll hear from the event organizers, gaining insight into the motivations for the competition, followed by observations from the IPW members that served as guides, and judges, and finally, we’ll see the awards slide show. This presentation will be followed with additional exploration of the current state of the stock photography industry.

darkroom_timer New mini-workshops will be presented prior to our monthly programs in 2010 to give you more opportunities to learn new skills or enhance-and-share those you already have.

**Show us your work**If you have Prints or Digital Images you would like to share, please bring them to the meeting. For Digital Images, bring up to 5 digital images on a CD/DVD (sized 1024 x 768) for projection.

The MK Nature Center is located behind the IDFG Headquarters building on Walnut Street and is not obvious from the road.

DIRECTIONS

From Interstate 84:

Take the US-20/US-26/BROADWAY AVE exit, exit number 54.
Turn NORTH onto US-20 W/US-26 W/BROADWAY AVE.
Turn EAST onto PARK BLVD.
Take PARK BLVD to WALNUT ST. (Be sure to be in the second lane from the left because this is the only lane that will allow you to stay on PARK BLVD).
Turn SOUTH on WALNUT ST and look for MK Nature Center signs.
